Special Education Resources

Let me be the first to tell you, you CAN homeschool your special needs child!

If you want your child to be Evaluated

If you’re already homeschooling, your child is still eligible to be evaluated, identified, and receive services, through the school district.

For kids 0-3, evaluation is done through Nevada Early Intervention Services

For kids 3 and up, evaluation is done through the school district.  If you live in CCSD you can find info here.

I know, your next question is going to be, but what about his/her IEP?

If you’re not interested in receiving services, or no longer need them, then that IEP is no longer needed.  The IEP was just legal instruction for the school to follow on what to do with your child.  At home, you can do whatever you want with your child!

There are some really good resources!
