Title: Peaceful Conflict Resolution
Location: RISE-Conference Room
Description: Many times we react to a conflict that we have with someone, with verbal and non-verbal language that increases the conflict.
Our emotions rise higher and we can not think clearly. We do or say things that makes us or the other want to:
1. fight back and become more aggressive. (fight)
2. leave the scene (flight)
3. or become ‘silent’ (freeze)
With all three reactions we create feelings of hostility, resentment, bitterness. These are unhealthy emotions for our relationships, and they also can affect our health.
What can we do today to break through the fight, flight or freeze reactions and get to a place of resolving conflicts with peace and understanding?
